Shoplifters Haunt Beachwood Mall Around Halloween
Other than a few incidents at stores at the mall, police had a pretty quiet Halloween.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Despite a reputation for encouraging juvenile delinquency, Halloween and the days surrounding the holiday were fairly quiet for Beachwood police. According to reports, officers dealt primarily with shoplifting incidents near Beachwood Place Mall.

Shoplifting, Oct. 30 — Police arrested a man and a woman for shoplifting from the Dillard's at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd. The couple tried to leave with approximately $260 of merchandise.

Check Theft, Oct. 31 — Someone stole a check from a man's office at 2000 Auburn Dr. The check was later cashed for $4,500.
Shoplifting, Nov. 1 — A woman was arrested for stealing $173 of merchandise from Dillard's.

Theft from Yard, Nov. 1 — A package was stolen from outside a Richmond Road home.
Warrant Served, Nov. 2 — Police took a man wanted in Shaker Heights Municipal Court into custody at a gas station in Garfield Heights.
