Shoplifters Haunt Beachwood Store

Three shoplifters were busted trying to steal merchandise from Dillard's over the weekend.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Shoplifters plagued Dillard's at Beachwood Place Mall over the weekend. Police and loss prevention were able to snag three opportunist criminals before they got away. Read on for more information on those incidents and others from the past weekend.

Phone Calls, June 2 - An irate former employee of the Greater Cleveland Health Care called the business and screamed about their final paycheck. Police left a message for the former employee to stop calling the business.

Suspicion, June 2 - Students of Beachwood High School were reported for posting inappropriate material on social media.

Shoplifting, June 2 - Police arrested a woman for shoplifting from Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Rd. The woman tried to get away with $18 of merchandise.

Criminal Simulation, June 2 - A woman was arrested for paying for merchandise with counterfeit bills. The woman tried to pass the fake bills off at Aldo Shoes, 26300 Cedar Rd.

Shoplifting, June 3 - Officers arrested an adult man for shoplifting from Dillard's. He tried to get away with about $40 of merchandise.

Shoplifting, June 3 - A juvenile male was arrested for shoplifting from Dillard's.

Expired License Plates, June 4 - Police stopped a vehicle for displayed expired license plates. The driver had an open container of beer in the car and was cited.
