Shoplifters Hit With Felony Theft Charge In Beachwood
A group of four women tried to steal more than $2,000 in merchandise from a store at Beachwood Place Mall.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Beachwood cops had a busy weekend. Officers corralled a group of four shoplifters that attempted to get away with more than $2,000 in stolen merchandise. The group lied about their identities when confronted by officers.

Suspicion, Nov. 10 — A man reported a suspicious incident with his coworker at Jay Berk PhD & Associates, 23293 Commerce Park.

Warrant Served, Nov. 10 — Police arrested a man on Chagrin Blvd. for an outstanding warrant.
Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Nov. 10 — A man was stopped for speeding on Cedar Road. Police found a loaded gun and marijuana in the man's car and the man was arrested.

Shoplifting, Nov. 10 — Four women were arrested for felony theft on Friday. The women were busted trying to steal merchandise from Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Rd. When confronted by police, the women lied about their identities. The group was subsequently charged with falsification when police discovered the fraud. The women were trying to steal more than $2,000 in merchandise.
Possession of Marijuana, Nov. 11 — Police stopped a car on Chagrin Boulevard after it was seen committing lane violations. The driver, an adult woman, was arrested after officer found marijuana in her car.
OVI, Nov. 11 — A man was arrested for operating a vehicle while impaired. He was stopped on Harvard Road. He was also charged with not using his turn signals.
Warrant Served, Nov. 11 — A woman was arrested on Richmond Road for an outstanding warrant through the Willoughby Municipal Court.
Shoplifting, Nov. 11 — A man stole more than $300 of merchandise from Giant Eagle, 24601 Chagrin Blvd.
Animal Report, Nov. 12 — A pet sitter reported being bitten by a client's Dachsund. The bite took place on Duffield Road.
Shoplifting, Nov. 12 — Police arrested a girl for shoplifting from Sephora at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd. The girl stole nearly $140 in merchandise.
Possession of Marijuana, Nov. 12 — Officers stopped a car for a brake lights violation. During the stop, it was discovered the driver had a suspended license and was lying about her identity. A man in the car also had a gun and was charged with improper handling of a firearm.
Possession of Marijuana, Nov. 12 — A driver hit the curb on Chagrin Boulevard, causing police to pull him over. Marijuana was found in the driver's center console and he was arrested.
