Shoplifters Plague Beachwood Mall After Christmas
After squashing a massive disturbance, police had to deal with a string of juvenile shoplifters that hit Sephora, H&M, and Claire's.

BEACHWOOD, OH - Besides dealing with a major disturbance at Beachwood Mall, police had a busy holiday season. Shoplifters hammered stores at the mall after Christmas, with several incidents occurring between Dec. 26 and Dec. 27.
Carrying Concealed Weapon, Dec. 26 - A woman was arrested on Chagrin Boulevard for driving under suspension and driving with expired plates. Police also cited her for carrying a concealed weapon and red light violation.
Shoplifting, Dec. 26 - A juvenile female was detained by staff at Sephora, 26300 Cedar Road, for shoplifting. The girl was trying to steal $39 worth of merchandise. The girl was transported to Beachwood Police Station and turned over to her father.

Possession of Marijuana, Dec. 26 - Two juvenile females were arrested at the same Sephora for shoplifting. The duo had $52 worth of merchandise on them and police also found marijuana on their persons.
Theft from Building, Dec. 27 - Welding material was stolen from a construction site at 3900 Park East. Police have not yet established suspects. The stolen goods were worth $5,250.

Shoplifting, Dec. 27 - Stealing from Beachwood Place Mall was popular in the week after Christmas. A juvenile female was arrested for shoplifting from H&M. The girl was trying to make off with $84.94 in merchandise.
Shoplifting, Dec. 27 - Seriously, stealing from Beachwood Place Mall was really popular post-Christmas. Another juvenile female tried to snatch-and-grab a pair of $12.99 earrings from Claire's. She was caught.
Harassment, Dec. 27 - An employee at Austin Powder Company, 25800 Science Park Dr., reported that a woman was repeatedly calling and harassing her.
Trespassing, Dec. 28 - Police saw a man trespassing at La Place after closing hours and determined that he was attempting to steal from the business. The man was arrested and while in custody, police discovered he had several active warrants out for his arrest.
Parking Violation, Dec. 28 - A Giant Eagle shopper used a dead person's handicap sign to park in a handicapped spot. They were cited for the offense.
Shoplifting, Dec. 28 - An unidentified woman stole a Tori Birch bag from Saks Fifth Avenue, 26100 Cedar Road. The bag is valued at $525.
Theft from Auto, Dec. 28 - A man reported that about $350 was stolen from his locker at Lifetime Fitness. The suspect also went through the man's car in the parking lot and stole a handgun.
