Shoplifters Plague Beachwood Place Mall Over the Weekend

Three separate thefts occurred between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.

BEACHWOOD, OH - Shoplifters were out in force this weekend at Beachwood Place mall.

Three separate incidents of shoplifting took place between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. The would-be thieves attempted to hit H&M, Claire's, and other stores during the incidents.

The first incident took place at 3 p.m. at Claire's when a juvenile girl was arrested for pilfering a pair of earrings from the store. The value of the stolen jewelry was $14.99. The addition to her record was thrown-in free of charge.

The second incident took place at 4:45 p.m. when an adult male was arrested for shoplifting, receiving stolen or damaged property and criminal damage or endangering. Police say he took or received a pair of athletic shoes, a gray sweater, different fragrances, and surveillance discs. There was no value yet assigned to these items.

The final incident of the weekend took place at 8 p.m. An adult male was arrested for snatching a pair of socks, valued at $19.98, from H&M.
