Shoplifting Juvenile Runs From Beachwood Police
Caught shoplifting, a juvenile decided he could outrun police. He was wrong.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Don't compound your problems with the law by trying to outrun them. If you're caught shoplifting, simply surrender. One juvenile learned that lesson the hard way this week. Read on for more information on that incident and others from this past week.
Phone Calls, May 9 - The owner of Tone Boxing Club, 23307 Commerce Park, is being harassed by his ex-girlfriend via repeated phone calls.
Warrant Served, May 9 - Police arrested a woman on an active warrant through Shaker Heights Municipal Court.

Suspicion, May 10 - Callers reported a suspicious vehicle outside of Saks Fifth Avenue, 26100 Cedar Rd.
Theft from Building, May 10 - An employee of Finish Line at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd., was arrested for thefts from his store. Police say the man may have stolen about $1,920 in merchandise.

Found Property, May 10 - Two bicycles were located in the woods behind the Jewish Community Center, 26001 South Woodland.
Shoplifting, May 11 - A juvenile ran from police on Wednesday, making his problems infinitely worse. The juvenile was caught shoplifting at Beachwood Place Mall. He was trying to get away with about $220 worth of merchandise. Caught red-handed, instead of surrendering, the juvenile tried to run from police. He didn't get far and was arrested for Obstructing Official Business and Shoplifting.
Theft, May 12 - About $280 was stolen from a man's locker at Lifetime Fitness, 3850 Richmond Rd.
Theft, May 12 - A woman was caught trying to steal $800 from the cash register at Abercrombie & Fitch at Beachwood Place Mall. The woman also stole $80 worth of clothing from the store.
