Six Teens Coordinate Shoplifting at Dillard's: Beachwood Police
The teenagers worked together to steal more than $700 worth of merchandise. That and other items from the weekend.

BEACHWOOD, OH - Shoplifting teenagers are getting more coordinated. A pack of teenaged shoplifters attempted to rip off Dillard's over the weekend and police were able to apprehend the majority of the would-be criminals.
Industrial Accident, Dec. 9 - An officer suffered an injury to his knee when he stepped out of his police cruiser.
Breaking and Entering, Dec. 9 - Someone broke into Atkins Realty, 21515 Chagrin Boulevard. However, the owner said nothing was taken.

Disturbance, Dec. 10 - Two women were arguing loudly in the lobby of the Aloft Hotel, 1010 Eaton Boulevard. Police arrived, spoke to the women, and the situation was resolved without arrests or violence.
Fleeing, Dec. 11 - Officers attempted to stop a vehicle that was speeding recklessly in the vicinity of Chagrin Boulevard. The car did not have its lights on and was speeding. However, when officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the car sped up and fled. Officers did not pursue and the driver got away.

Disorderly Conduct, Dec. 11 - Callers reported a woman acting belligerent in the lobby of the Double Tree Hotel, 3663 Park East. Officers arrived and determined the woman was intoxicated and arrested the woman. That same night, at the Double Tree, two men got into a fight in the parking lot and were cited for causing a disturbance.
Shoplifting, Dec. 11 - Loss prevention officers at Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Road, detained a group of teenagers after they walked out of the store with a wealth of merchandise. According to police, six teenagers walked into the store and then walked out with different merchandise hidden on their body. Officers were able to locate five of the teenagers. Three of the five were arrested for theft and the others were released on the scene. The value of the stolen merchandise was $705.48.
