Someone Abandoning Cats At Beachwood Pet Store

Police said they don't know who is leaving felines in boxes and carriers outside a local Petco.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Someone has been leaving boxes and carriers of cats outside Petco in Beachwood, police said. The animals started being left near the pet store in late May, but the drop-offs have continued through early August.

Police said another group of cats were left outside Petco on Sunday. It's unclear who is leaving the animals there.

Warrants Served, August 3 — Police took two people into custody on warrants through the Shaker Heights Municipal Court and with the Beachwood Police Department.

Obstructing Official Business, August 4 — A woman was arrested at Lifetime Fitness on Saturday morning for obstructing official business. The woman also had marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her possession, according to police reports.

OVI, August 4 — Officers stopped a car on Richmond Road for not driving in marked lanes. The driver was arrested for being intoxicated.

OVI, August 4 — A car was stopped on Green Road for driving slower than the speed limit. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested.

Possession of Marijuana, August 5 — Beachwood Police stopped a car on Shaker Boulevard and cited the driver for possession of marijuana.
