Cleveland, OH - The Cleveland Classical Guitar Society and Fifth Third Bank of Bainbridge present 2013 All-Ohio Competition Winner Stephen Fazio in benefit for music education.

Stephen Fazio, the 2013 Stroud All-Ohio Guitar Competition winner, will perform at Fifth Third Bank in Bainbridge to benefit the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society’s education program on November 2, 2014.

Ohio native Stephen Fazio has performed in a broad range of concert venues across the eastern United States and Europe. In 2011, Fazio was invited and awarded a full scholarship to participate in the Imani WindsChamber Music Festival as a “Rising Star” at The Juilliard School, NYC. Stephen has won back-to-back first prizes in The James Stroud Classical Guitar Competition in 2012 & 2013. In 2014, Stephen was awarded a full scholarship to study music at The Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, OH.

The Cleveland Classical Guitar Society’s education program serves students with limited access to arts education. Its partnership includes two schools in Cleveland and Akron and the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland, who have made the program part of their standard academic curriculum. The Cleveland Classical Guitar Society provides instructors, curricula, instruments, and guest artists for the program. The 2014-2015 school year has shown an increase of 20% in the program to a total of 175 students, most of whom are economically disadvantaged and minorities.
