Julia Friedman named co-MVP of running events as both girls and boys place second overall
Beachwood High School's track and field team had a strong showing at the Chagrin Valley Conference Metro Division Invitational, the Sun News reports.
Both the boys' and girls' teams placed second overall and Julia Friedman earned a co-MVP award.
Friedman, Kyndal Wilson, Arielle Ginsberg, Chris Lardie, Isidro Cora, Mark Blackwell, Ari Sobel and Samantha Tall all had first-place finishes in their events, the Sun News reports – and click the link for a great Sun News shot of Blackwell on the hurdles.
