Super Sunday Fundraiser To Be Held In September In Beachwood

BEACHWOOD, OH —The annual Super Sunday event — Jewish Cleveland's largest single day of giving — will be held Sunday, September 22, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland announced. All funds will go toward the Campaign for Jewish Needs, which provides money to programs in Cleveland, Israel and around the world.

The community is invited to take part in the event. Volunteers can participate at their discretion from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Super Sunday is held at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland's Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Building, 25701 Science Park Drive in Beachwood.

“Super Sunday is a Cleveland tradition that truly reflects what makes us one of the most caring and passionate Jewish communities in the world. Each year on Super Sunday, hundreds of volunteers come together with the singular goal of making life in our Jewish community better today and stronger in the future,” said Shoshana Jacobs, Super Sunday Co-Chair. “Super Sunday is always a special day for our diverse community, filled with great kosher food, fun activities for all ages, and heartwarming moments. I look forward to seeing everyone on September 22 – either on site, online or both!”

Hundreds of people are expected to volunteer on Sunday. The participants will try to raise funds through phone calls, emails and social media posts. Kosher food will be offered throughout the day and there will be activities for kids and parents, like kids yoga. Teenagers can attend a High School Impact Party, with games, food and friendly competitions.

Jacobs co-chairs Super Sunday with her husband Elliot. The couple are from University Heights. They also work with Noam and Tovah Magence of Beachwood, David and Lauren Roth of Beachwood, and Stephanie and Brian Stein of Solon.
