Suspicious Man Seen Entering Cars At Beachwood Organization
The man was spotted trying to break into two cars in the parking lot of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police had a busy week in Beachwood. They were called to the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association on Chagrin Boulevard on Tuesday. Callers said a man was panhandling in the parking lot. He was then seen getting up to no good.

OVI, April 16 — At 2:20 a.m., police spotted a car driving on Richmond Road without its lights on. They stopped the vehicle, and discovered the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested.

OVI, April 17 — Police again stopped a car at 2:30 a.m., this time on Chagrin Boulevard. The police report said the man was charged for not having his lights on, for having an open container of alcohol in the car, not driving in marked lanes, seat belt violations and driving intoxicated.
Fraud, April 17 — A fraudulent check was passed at the Lee Hayden Gallery, 26300 Cedar Rd. The check was worth $1,990.

Breaking and Entering, April 17 — A pair of boots were stolen from Fyodor Atelier, a bridal shop.
Suspicion, April 17 — A suspicious character was seen attempting to enter a pair of cars in the parking lot of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. The man was also seen asking people for money, according to police reports.
Marijuana Possession, April 17 — Officers cited a man for marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license. The man was stopped outside of Beachwood Place Mall. Police also found an open container of alcohol in the man's vehicle.
Theft from Building, April 18 — Four people dined and dashed at Bob Evans on Wednesday. Two men and two women were cited for skipping out on a $51 bill.
Fraud, April 18 — It's just not tax season without at least a few fraud cases. A Beachwood woman reported that someone filed a tax return in her name using her social security number.
Found Property, April 19 — Staffers found a pocket knife tucked into a couch at the Beachwood Library.
Shoplifting, April 19 — A pair of Gucci sunglasses were stolen from Sunglasses Hut at Beachwood Place Mall. The glasses are valued at $400.
