Theft, Shoplifting Incidents At Beachwood Mall

Police dealt with shoplifters and thieves at Beachwood Place Mall this past week.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police dealt with a variety of shoplifting and theft incidents in and around Beachwood Place Mall this past week. Officers were able to arrest suspects in nearly each case.

Shoplifting, Sept. 4 — Police arrested two adults and one juvenile for shoplifting from Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Rd. The trio were also charged with receiving stolen property.

Theft, Sept. 4 — Someone stole a bicycle from an open garage on Green Road.

General Assistance, Sept. 5 — An adult woman came to Beachwood Police Station to complain about the living conditions at Cleveland area homeless shelters.

Breaking and Entering, Sept. 6 — Police arrested a male suspect for breaking into the Sprint store, 22839 Chagrin Blvd. The man set off an alarm on his way in.

Warrant Served, Sept. 6 — A woman came to Beachwood Police Station to turn herself in on an outstanding warrant through Shaker Heights Municipal Court.

Theft from Auto, Sept. 6 — Someone stole $205 worth of property from a patron's car while it was parked at Maggiano's, 26300 Cedar Rd.

Suspicious Persons, Sept. 6 — Officers were called to Deville Apartments for reports of two suspicious men loitering near the parking garage.

Theft from Building, Sept. 7 — A resident on Richmond Road reports that $50 of property was taken from his home.

Shoplifting, Sept. 7 — A juvenile female was arrested for shoplifting from Dillard's. She was caught trying to steal $29.98 worth of merchandise. Police also found she was in possession of stolen merchandise from Victoria's Secret at the mall.
