Trespasser Busted At Beachwood Mall, Found With Weed
Beachwood Police had a busy weekend chasing down shoplifters, trespassers and other criminals.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Officers busted a trespasser at Beachwood Mall on Friday night. The man was loitering around the mall when officers spotted him. The man was arrested and was found to be carrying weed and drug paraphernalia.

Marijuana Possession, Oct. 27 — Police stopped a car on Richmond Road for a traffic offense. A man in the car was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and a woman in the car was arrested for having marijuana.

Trespassing, Oct. 27 — A man was found trespassing at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Road at about 5:30 p.m. Friday. The man was searched by police and he had marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his possession.
Shoplifting, Oct. 27 — A man and a woman were arrested for shoplifting from Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Rd. The couple were trying to get away with about $330 in merchandise. They also had drug paraphernalia in their possession.

OVI, Oct. 27 — A woman was arrested for driving impaired after she was involved in a car accident on Chagrin Boulevard.
Theft from Building, Oct. 27 — Someone stole jewelry from a nursing home patient at the Montefiore Home, 27080 Cedar Rd. Police say the missing jewelry is valued at $10,050.
License Suspension, Oct. 28 — Officers stopped a car on Green Road for driving without a front license plate. The driver of the car had thrice suspended license. Officers arrested the driver and had the car towed.
Shoplifting, Oct. 28 — A juvenile was arrested for shoplifting from Dillard's at the Beachwood Place Mall. The boy tried to hide a North Face jacket in an H&M bag and walk out of the store. After confronting the boy, police also found a shirt stolen from H&M in the boy's possession. The value of the stolen merchandise was $105.99.
Resisting Officer, Oct. 28 — Another man was arrested for shoplifting from a store at Beachwood Place Mall on Saturday. When officers tried to apprehend the suspect, he ran away.
Shoplifting, Oct. 28 — A woman stole $215 of merchandise from Dillard's on Saturday. When loss prevention officers and police confronted the woman, she tried to get out of the situation by giving a false identity. The fake ID was discovered and she was arrested.
Theft from Building, Oct. 28 — A housekeeper at the Double Tree Hotel, 3663 Park East, had her purse stolen while on-duty.
Theft from Auto, Oct. 29 —A resident's unlocked car on East Groveland Road was entered by a thief and $20 was stolen.
Stopping After Accident, Oct. 29 — A driver was arrested after she hit a car on Cedar Road and then sped away. The driver didn't give her information to the other driver and police were able to track the driver down on I-271 South. The driver was arrested for hit-skip.
