Two Drug Busts In Beachwood This Week
Police caught two men with suspected illicit substances this week.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police started off the new year by busting two people carrying suspected drugs in Beachwood this week. Read more about those incidents, and others, below.
Warrant Served, Jan. 1 — Police kicked off the new year by heading to Warrensville Heights to pick up a woman wanted in Shaker Heights Municipal Court. Officers took custody of the woman without incident.
Identity Theft, Jan.1 — Someone opened credit cards in a Brentwood Road woman's name.

Lost Property, Jan. 1 — A woman lost her purse at Beachwood Place Mall, 26500 Cedar Rd.
Possession of Marijuana, Jan. 1 — Police stopped a man on Belvoir Boulevard for not obeying turn signals and failing to stay in a marked lane. The man was found to be impaired, but he refused to take a breath test. Officers found marijuana in the man's car.

License Suspension, Jan. 2 — A man was stopped for not stopping at a stop sign. The man had an active warrant for Warrensville Heights Police and was taken into custody.
Warrant Served, Jan. 3 — A car broke down on I-271 south near Harvard Road. Police responded to the vehicle. Unfortunately, the driver had an active warrant out of Warrensville Heights so he was taken into custody. He did get his car towed though.
Shoplifting, Jan. 3 — A man was arrested for trying to shoplifting about $70 of merchandise from Dillard's, 26500 Cedar Rd.
Drug Possession, Jan. 3 — Police stopped a car for speeding on Cedar Road. The driver was found to be in possession of suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia. The man also had credit cards that did not belong to him.
Warrant Served, Jan. 4 — Police collected a man from Cuyahoga County Jail. The man was wanted on a warrant from Shaker Heights Municipal Court.
