Two Signs Damaged By Drivers In Beachwood
A service driver hit a pedestrian crossing sign on Friday. Then a driver hit a traffic sign on Saturday. Not a good weekend for signs.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Signs, signs, everywhere a sign, goes a pop song from the 1970s. For some drivers in Beachwood this weekend, the city must have felt like a living incarnation of that song. A service driver and an everyday driver hit a pair of street signs on Friday and Saturday respectively.
Neither sign appears to have suffered severe damage, according to municipal police reports. Still, reports were filed and some additional information on the incidents is below. Readers can also find other incidents from the weekend in the blotter below.
Damage Property, Feb. 9 — A service vehicle hit a pedestrian crossing sign at the Richmond Road, Chagrin Boulevard intersection.

Suspicion, Feb. 9 — A woman at Beachwood Place Mall reported that $950 was missing from her wallet. The money was eventually found and returned to her.
Damage Property, Feb. 10 — Someone hit a traffic control sign on Harvard Road on Saturday morning. Police say the sign suffered some damage as a result of the collision.

License Suspension, Feb. 10 — Police towed a car on Richmond Road on Saturday afternoon. The driver had a suspended license and was cited before the vehicle was towed away.
Suspicious Vehicle, Feb. 10 — Officers searched a suspicious car near the Home 2 Suites, 3589 Park East. The driver consented to the search and police found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The man was issued a summons.
