BEACHWOOD, OH — Don't urinate in public. It seems like common sense, but at least one person thought the world was his bathroom on Thursday and decided to urinate while facing traffic on Chagrin Boulevard. Read on for more information on that incident and other incidents from the week.

Public Indecency, Aug. 10 — Police arrested a man for urinating in public on Thursday. The man was using the north side of the True North Shell gas station parking lot as his toilet. He was facing Chagrin Boulevard and doing the deed.

Rescue Squad, Aug. 7 — An elderly man fell and hurt himself while riding the escalator at Nordstrom's. The police department assisted the rescue squad in transporting the man to a local hospital for care.

Damage Property, Aug. 7 — A resident backed her vehicle off the edge of a roadway that was under construction. Police assisted the resident.

License Suspension, Aug. 7 — Police stopped a vehicle on Edgewood Road. The driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Expired License Plates, Aug. 7 — Officers issued a citation to a woman for driving with expired license plates on Cardington Drive.

Burglary, Aug. 7 — A resident at RH Meyers Apartments, 27200 Cedar Rd. reported the theft of $50 from her apartment. Police say there was no sign of forced entry at the residence.

Criminal Damaging, Aug. 7 — A man on Edgewood Road was charged for purposefully destroying a city employee's cell phone.

Fraud, Aug. 8 — Eight fraudulent checks were cashed in the name of a Beachwood law firm. The firm suffered a loss of $9,761 as a result.

Identity Theft, Aug. 8 — Someone used an Annesly resident's identity to open a credit account.

Theft from Vehicle, Aug. 9 — The catalytic converter was stolen from a woman's Chevy Cavalier while it was parked at a Pavilion Office Building.

Theft from Vehicle, Aug. 9 — Another catalytic converter was stolen from an SUV while it was parked at Einstein & Burt LLC.

Criminal Damaging, Aug. 9 — Someone keyed a man's car while it was at Beachwood Villas North.

Theft from Vehicle, Aug. 10 — A catalytic converter was stolen from a man's car while it was parked at Yours Truly restaurant, 25300 Chagrin Blvd.
