Volunteer Event Coming to Beachwood

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is sponsoring the event. More than 20 organizations will be present and looking for help.

BEACHWOOD, OH - The IMPACT! Volunteer Showcase will be coming to Beachwood on Jan. 22. The event features more than 20 organizations that are looking for volunteers. It's an easy way to keep that New Year's Resolution to donate more of your time.

The event will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Building, 25701 Science Park Drive in Beachwood.

“We were thrilled knowing that the idea of volunteering resonated with so many,” said Bob Cohen, Co-Chair of the Showcase, alongside Carol Paull. “The Showcase will provide potential volunteers an opportunity to hear about volunteer options directly from our partnering social service agency professionals, connecting volunteers to inspiring opportunities.”

The Federation has decided to push this event because a recent study found that the one-third of the Greater Cleveland Jewish population was born between 1946-1964, making them Baby Boomers. Those Boomers are interested in reaching out to their community and offering skills that they have honed over the course of a lifetime.
