Wanted People, Shoplifters Hang Around Beachwood Place Mall
Police were at the mall more than bored teenagers over the weekend, dealing with shoplifters and executing arrest warrants.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police were a common sight at Beachwood Place Mall on Friday. Officers dealt with disturbances, shoplifters, and people wanted on arrest warrants at the shopping center. Read on for more information on those incidents and others in Beachwood over the weekend.

Disturbance, Aug. 4 — A woman caused a ruckus at H&M at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Rd.

Shoplifting, Aug. 4 — Police arrested a woman for shoplifting from Sephora, another store at Beachwood Place Mall.
Warrant Served, Aug. 4 — A man wanted in Euclid was arrested at Beachwood Place Mall by Beachwood officers.

Shoplifting, Aug. 4 —Police arrested two people, a man and woman, at Beachwood Place Mall for shoplifting, receiving stolen property, and active warrants out of other cities. The woman had an active warrant in Shaker Heights for her arrest and was found with $5.90 worth of property from Zara. The man had stolen four clothing items from Zara, valued cumulatively at $169.90. The man also had a gold ring from Express in his possession that is believed to have been stolen.
Fraud, Aug. 5 — A Beachwood resident reported that someone had stolen her identity.
Theft by Deception, Aug. 5 — A manager at Devore Technologies, 23240 Chagrin Blvd., told police she suspects a former employee stole money from the company.
Simple Assault, Aug. 5 — A psychiatric patient at Ahuja Hospital attacked several staff members and damaged property in the facility. Police say the damaged property is valued at $3,500.
