Weapons Arrest In Beachwood After Traffic Stop
Police stopped a car for driving with one headlight. Officers then arrested the driver and a passenger for multiple offenses.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police pulled a car over on Saturday for driving with one headlight. Officers then smelled marijuana in the car and decided to search the vehicle. Find out what happened in that incidents and others from the past weekend below.
Suspicion, Feb. 2 — Someone at Hair by Design reported that a second story window was found open on Friday. There were suspicious items left in the building, according to the police report but it is not clear what those items were.
Warrant Served, Feb. 2 — Beachwood Police picked up a man wanted on an active warrant for failure to pay traffic charges.

Theft from Building, Feb. 2 — Police arrested a Dilliard's employee for stealing from the store. She allegedly took more than $500 of merchandise from the retailer.
Disturbance, Feb. 2 — A juvenile was taken into custody at Beachwood Place Mall after he made a disturbance. The juvenile was then turned over to his mother.

Shoplifting, Feb. 2 — Two women were arrested for shoplifting from Sephora at Beachwood Place Mall. The women were caught with $607 in merchandise.
Simple Assault, Feb. 2 — A middle school student claimed they were slapped by another student.
Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Feb. 3 — Officers stopped a car on the I-271 South exit near Cedar Road for driving with one headlight. There was a smell of marijuana wafting from the car, prompting police to search the car. A handgun was found in the backseat, belonging to one of the passengers in the car. Open containers of alcohol and marijuana were also found in the car.
License Suspension, Feb. 3 — Police stopped a car on Richmond Road for making an unsafe lane change. The driver had a suspended license and an active warrant for her arrest. She was taken into custody.
Criminal Damaging, Feb. 3 — Someone threw a brick through the front window of Omnova's world headquarters on Saturday. The exterior door shattered. Police say the suspect is a male.
Theft by Deception, Feb. 4 — A Hamptons Building resident went to the Beachwood Police station to report that he had been ensnared in a fraud scheme. The man sent $25,000 to a company for services that were never rendered.
