Weapons Violations Abound At Beachwood Place Mall Over The Weekend

Police dealt with a juvenile that carrying a concealed weapon and a the theft of a gun from a vehicle.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police dealt with a bunch of weapons violations over the weekend at Beachwood Place Mall. They also executed several arrest warrants on I-271. Theft from Auto, Sept. 1 — Someone broke into a man's vehicle while it was parked at Nordstrom, 26200 Cedar Rd. The thief took a pistol from the vehicle.

Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Sept. 1 — Police arrested a juvenile for carrying a concealed weapon in the parking lot of Saks 5th Avenue, 26100 Cedar Rd.

License Suspension, Sept. 1 — A man was arrested after he hit a pedestrian in the parking lot of Beachwood Place Mall, 26100 Cedar Rd. The pedestrian suffered only minor injuries. Police that responded to the scene found that the driver had a suspended license.

Theft from Building, Sept. 1 — Tools were stolen from a contractor doing work at the Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospital, 3025 Science Parkway.

Shoplifting, Sept. 2 — Police arrested a man for attempting to shoplift $144 of merchandise from Dillard's at Beachwood Place Mall.

License Suspension, Sept. 2 — Police cited a woman for driving with a suspended license on Cedar Rd.

Warrants Served, Sept. 3 — After stopping a car for speeding on I-271, police found that several people in the vehicle had active warrants for their arrest. The driver was wanted in Euclid on an assault charge and was taken into custody and later transferred to Euclid Police. A passenger had an assault and criminal damaging charge and was also handed over to Euclid Police. Another passenger was wanted in Cleveland Heights for theft, but the department declined to execute the warrant and the passenger was released.

Theft, Sept. 3 — A patron of Lifetime Fitness, 3850 Richmond Rd., reported that his cell phone and some cash was stolen from his locker.

Annoying Phone Calls, Sept. 3 — A man's ex-wife has been repeatedly calling and texting him. He reported the matter to police on Sunday.
