Weed Found After Police Help Man Locked Out Of Car In Beachwood

A shopper at Beachwood Place Mall forgot he had marijuana in his car and asked cops for help after he locked himself out of his vehicle.

BEACHWOOD, OH — A shopper at Beachwood Place Mall made a silly mistake on Monday. He asked police to help him get into his car, which he had locked himself out of, but forgot he had a stash of marijuana inside the vehicle.

At about 11:00 a.m. on April 2, officers on patrol were flagged down by a man standing in the mall parking lot. The man told police he had locked his keys in his car and needed help getting inside the vehicle.

The officers agreed to help and managed to jimmy the car door open. Sadly, for the man, once the door was open an odor of marijuana smacked the police in the face.
