Amplify Your Voice: A Charity Rock Concert to Raise Money for the Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center

On April 27th, the members of Cleveland’s UCREW will be putting on Amplify Your Voice, a charity rock concert to raise money for the Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center (DVCAC). UCREW is a high school student organization facilitated by the two AmeriCorps VISTA’s representing UGIVE.org in the Cleveland area. The concert will take place from 7-10 PM at Arts Collinwood, located at 15605 Waterloo Road, Cleveland, OH 44110.

 

UCREW has invited three local bands and a spoken word artist to perform at Amplify Your Voice:

  • 7:05-7:40: Pathetic, a cover band from the Olmsted Falls Area.
  • 7:45-8:00: Niyala Hedge, a spoken word artist from New Tech West High.
  • 8:10-8:45: Revive and Recover, a band with members from Wickliffe High and Willoughby South.
  • 9:15-9:50: Dempsey Hall, a band with members from St. Ignatius High School.

Amplify Your Voice has been entirely driven by high school students. Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Email kristen@ugive.org to reserve a ticket. Also, UCREW will be holding a raffle with donations from the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavilers, Cleveland Gladiators, Angelina’s Pizza, and Moosehead Hoof and Ladder. UCREW will be donating 100% of the proceeds collected from Amplify Your Voice to the DVCAC.

 

UCREW is a student organization operated by UGIVE.org, which is a non-profit organization on a mission to catalyze, excite and empower the next generation of volunteers.
