During a visit today for lunch at the Burntwood Tavern in Rocky River, we learned that plans call for the Brecksville location to open on December 3rd. Will it happen? We'll see. Many tradesmen still are working to create the latest presence in the historic Spanish Tavern building on Brecksville Road at Fitzwater. The work appears to include constructing a patio area. And the pile of reclaimed barn lumber appears to be shrinking, which means that it is being installed as paneling inside--evidently a trademark of the Burntwood brand.
We enjoyed our sandwiches during our lunch in Rocky River today--and the service was friendly and prompt.
The two staffers we talked with indicated that we can expect good food and service in Brecksville, too.
