Career Center Hosts High School Information Night for Students and Parents

Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC) will host an Information Night on Thursday, January 12, 2012 (snow date – Thursday, January 19) from 7 - 9 p.m, according to communications specialist Cheryl Dolego. High school students and their parents are invited to learn more about the specialized career and college preparation opportunities available through the Career Center's nearly 30 career-technical programs. CVCC Information Night offers program visitation and additional details to help with the decision-making process.

Most CVCC programs have Tech Prep options, enabling students to earn college credit while at CVCC. This is especially desirable in today’s economy, allowing students and parents to save money on college as students gain early credits. Many CVCC programs also offer industry certification opportunities.

CVCC’s tuition-free, half-day programs enable students to continue their academic studies at their regular high school, while acquiring technical skills at the Career Center. These skills put them ahead of their classmates and prepare them to begin work or continue their education after high school.
