Cuyahoga Valley Career Center: SkillsUSA Competitions

During the ’s Board of Education meeting in May, the board learned about a number of awards and recognitions that students in all eight of the districts it serves won throughout the year.

The following Brecksville-Broadview Heights students were recognized for their achievements this year in the SkillsUSA competition, a program for career and technical education programs that emphasizes leadership skills:

  • Adam Kincaid, Auto Body, Auto Refinishing
  • Amelia Klump, Digital Design, Adv. Design
  • Elaina Kovach, Cosmetology, Cosmetology
  • Vitaly Naydyuk, Public Health & Safety, Firefighting 
  • Dave Pacino, Public Health & Safety, Firefighting
  • Cliff Schoen, Construction Trades, Carpentry
  • Conor Sullivan, Machine Technology, CNC Turning
  • John Thomas, Program & Software Development
