Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities: Architecture and Sculpture
November 10th from 6-7pm: Thwing Ballroom, 11111 Euclid Avenue-Architecture in a Tumultuous Age, by Blair Kamin-Registration recommended. In this illustrated lecture, Blair Kamin, the Chicago Tribune's Pulitzer Prize-winning architecture critic, will survey the period bracketed by the September 11 terrorist attacks and the opening of the world's tallest building in Dubai on January 4, 2010.

Beck Center for the Arts: Natasha Turovsky, New Work

The Cleveland Museum of Art:The Art of Daily Life: Portable Objects from Southeast Africa

MOCA Cleveland & CIM: Harmonic Hues
Wednesday, Nov. 16th at 6:30: MOCA Cleveland, 8501 Carnegie Avenue--CIM New Music Ensemble performs Steve Reich's seminal work, Different Trains. Attendees at the concert will have an opportunity to view MOCA's exhibitions; Sculptures of Ursula von Rydingsvard and Contemporary Cuban Art: Barroso, Hernandez-Nuenas, Toirac, Ortega, an exhibit of four Cuban artists in residence at the Cleveland Institute of Art.

The Music Settlement: Alameda Trio
Sunday, November 13th at 2 p.m.: The Music Settlement Glick Recital Hall, 11125 Magnolia Drive, Cleveland, 44106--The Music Settlement's ensemble-in-residence, the Almeda Trio, will present works by Paul Ferguson, Paul Schoenfield and Astor Piazzola.
