Fresh Fork Market is a subscription to local foods. Each week, for 22 weeks during the summer, customers meet the Fresh Fork Market trucks at one of their pre designated pick up locations. The products that subscribers enjoy each week all come from Ohio farms that are within 75 miles of Cleveland.
Fresh Fork Market has increased its subscription limit to 2500 this year. According to Trevor Clatterbuck, founder “We have sold out every year, so we wanted to increase the number of people who have access to local foods.” According to FFM, they are nearly halfway there already, and the season doesn’t start until June.
There are new corporate stops for the Summer 2012 season. Fresh Fork Market hopes to attract major companies to participate. They are in talks with the likes of University Hospitals, Eaton Corporation and Kaiser Permanente. Fresh Fork Markets started its corporate delivery program last year with American Greetings and Findaway World. Both of these locations are on board again for 2012 and adding new customers. Corporations see the value in being able to offer its employees access to fresh local foods.

Trevor Clatterbuck has been meeting personally with each of the 92 farmers that Fresh Fork Market buys from. In order to more than double the number of customers, they needed to be certain that the supply would be there for the season. Farmers are happy to ramp up production for FFM. One farmer even invited Clatterbuck to attend his Amish wedding. “Without you, I would not have been successful enough to marry my bride,” he told Trevor.
