GARFIELD HEIGHTS RESIDENT HONORED AS THE VILLAGE AT MARYMOUNT’S VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

Joan Bolha’s tireless volunteer service throughout The Village at Marymount has not gone unnoticed. The Garfield Heights resident and former Marymount Hospital nurse was honored April 11 during a special Volunteer Recognition Luncheon as The Village at Marymount’s Volunteer of the Year.

“I was very surprised to receive (this honor) because I have only been a volunteer here for two years,” Mrs. Bolha said. “I did not expect it.”

Mrs. Bolha’s mother, Anna Kunc, was a resident of both Marymount Place and Villa St. Joseph, and lived until she was 102 years old. Mrs. Bolha enjoys making residents, family members, and friends of The Village at Marymount feel welcome during their stay. Her compassion and a strong work ethic made Mrs. Bolha an overwhelming choice to be selected as the Volunteer of the Year.
