As tears of joy streamed down her face, Helena Waniewski graciously received The Village at Marymount’s November Franciscan Spirit Award from her supervisior, Bill Lemanowicz, Director of Plant Operations, and the facility’s administrative team.
“I am so surprised,” Waniewski said, fighting back tears. “Thank you, thank you everybody.”
Waniewski, who has worked as a housekeeper at Villa St. Joseph for the past two years, was nominated for the award by Jamie Arrington, LPN.

“Helena goes above and beyond her duties as a housekeeper and her work is thorough and complete,” Arrington said. “Every room she cleans is excellent. She also brings a smile and a ‘good morning’ to everyone she meets.”
Lemanowicz echoed Arrington’s sentiments: “Helena always does a good job and she is very deserving of this award. She takes a lot of pride in her work.”
