Key Leaders Represented BBHHS

Yostina Farid and Blythe Cassidy were chosen out of a field of over 90 candidates in the Class of 2014 to attend the Key Leader Weekend Seminar sponsored by the Brecksville Kiwanis Club.  They studied aspects of leadership in the following areas: service leadership, personal integrity, personal growth, respect, building community and pursuit of excellence through goal setting, and building a personal action plan.  As a Key Leader they learned the most important lesson of leadership—leadership comes from helping others succeed.

Yostina is the daughter of Ibrahim and Rosemary Farag Farid of Brecksville. She is the treasurer of the Key Club and is actively involved in several extracurriculars including SADD, HUDDLE, International Club, Spanish Club and tennis team while maintaining an outstanding academic record.

Blythe is the daughter of Rex and Carrie Cassidy of Brecksville.  She is also a member of the Key Club where she spearheaded a shoe collection drive to recycle up to 500 pairs of shoes on America Recycles Day, November 13, in partnership with the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.  She is also active in Drama Club, Spanish Club and SAFE Club at the high school.
