CVCC Adult Education offer Self-Defense for Women – Level I course

Brecksville, Ohio - Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC) has a class to encourage Women’s safety.  

This physically active class taught by Mark Dailey provides women the techniques necessary to defend against an attack. Mark holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has former experience as a Firefighter and a Police Officer, where he functioned as a Tactical Paramedic on a SWAT team.

Training includes defending against: Arm grabs, Choke holds, Bear-hug grabs, Hair grabs

Who is Mark Dailey?  Mark Dailey has been a Nationally Registered Paramedic for over 23 years.  He has experience working in EMS, hospital emergency rooms and currently functions as a Flight Paramedic for University Hospitals MedEvac.  Mark has augmented his EMS educating to include a strong emphasis on Self-Defense training to better prepare Police, Fire and EMS providers for the unpredictability of the field. 

The class will take place on Thursday, October 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center.  Registration fee is $39 for District Residents, $49 for Non-District residents, and $29 for District Senior citizens. Participants must be at least 16-years old.
