Young Audiences’ ArtWorks offers paid internships in the arts

Young Audiences of Northeast Ohio announces more than 100 summer jobs for teens.  Teens entering grades 10-12 and looking for valuable work experience through paid internships should apply for Artworks Summer now.

ArtWorks Summer is a workforce development program for high school students designed to develop 21st Century job skills such as time and project management, collaboration, professional communication, problem solving, and critical thinking. In addition to these skills, students will gain experience in careers through small groups working with master teaching artists.  Apprentices work toward the completion of a final product in the art form which is showcased at public performances and exhibits. 

ArtWorks is an intensive six-week program, five hours a day, working in theater, dance, music, visual arts, architecture and culinary arts. Internships meet downtown:

  • Halle Building, June 13-July 26
  • Tri-C’s Metro Campus, June 20-August 2.

No prior arts experience is necessary but teens should have a strong interest in the arts and a willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment.
