BBHHS Orchestra Presents: Back to the Movies: POPtober II on October 21st, 2015
Join the BBHHS Orchestra on Wednesday, October 21st, 2015 for their first concert of the 2015-2016 season which will feature music from many iconic films:
Marvel’s The Avengers, The Godfather, Madagascar, Mask of Zorro, Slumdog Millionaire, Mr. Holland’s Opus, Psycho, Memoirs of a Geisha, and the Wizard of Oz. There will be two symphonic orchestra selections as well: A Tribute to John Williams (which features music from Star Wars, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Superman, Harry Potter, and E.T) and Back to the Future Suite.
October 21st is also the day where Marty McFly goes to the future in Back to the Future II, and it is the 30th anniversary of BTTF. It is also the 30th anniversary of the high school being called Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School. The first year was 1985-1986, so this is also the 30th season of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School Orchestra. With this being a big anniversary, the orchestra reached out to the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Community Band members to perform with us, and also their alumni to come back and play. Just like Back to the Future, The orchestra will celebrate the Past, Present, and Future.

In addition to this concert, Mayor Jerry Hruby has issued a proclamation that October 21, 2015 will be THE BRECKSVILLE-BROADVIEW HEIGHTS HIGH SCHOOL ORCHESTRA DAY in Brecksville, Ohio, in honor of the 2015-2016 season!!
The Concert begins at 7:00 PM at the BBHHS Auditorium and is FREE.
