You could just drive around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But don’t waste your time. Instead, Brecksville Patch will pick a great restaurant each week--either in town or nearby--that is worth checking out. This week, we’re featuring Creekside Restaurant and Bar.

Overview:  Located on the banks of Chippewa Creek, this eatery offers daily breakfast, lunch and dinner specials. The restaurant also features a separate bar and lounge, as well as a party room for special events.

Decor:  Contemporary with a classic feel. The restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate a lot of people.

The Drinks: Some of the available drinks include the Blueberry Dream Martini, the Creekside Martini and the Cosmopolitan.

Appetizers: There are some unique ones, like the lobster quesadilla ($9.95), potstickers ($7.95), and smoked mozzarella ($7.95).

Entrees: There are close to 50 options, if guests include the pizzas and specialty salads in their decision. Some examples include the shrimp and lobster fettuccini ($18.50), the peppercorn rib-eye ($21.95), the artichoke and chicken sauté ($16.95), the walleye melt ($9.75) and the lobster pesto pizza ($15.95 for a medium).

Sides: Guests can choose to include rice pilaf, steamed broccoli or roasted garlic red-skinned mashed potatoes with their meal, among other choices.

Desserts: The restaurant has a variety of desserts that may include a triple chocolate torte, a strawberry cassata cake or carrot cake.

In a nutshell: Creekside Restaurant is one of those few restaurants that claims they are all about the food and that actually backs up the talk with a lot of walk. The restaurant reinforces its reputation as a top dining destination by offering exceptional, high-quality food at reasonable prices. Their menu offers a wide variety of chicken, beef and fish dishes, as well as a variety of sandwiches and pizza. For a real treat, try the Lobster Pesto Pizza.
