In a nutshell: Describing Oggi Ristorante as a “traditional” Italian restaurant is somewhat misleading. True, it doesn’t get much more Italian than spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna and manicotti, but Oggi is more of a bistro that offers its own interpretation of traditional Italian food than anything else.
Simply presented food is served in modest proportions and is less hearty and robust than you might expect. And don’t expect overly garlic-y food drowning in marinara sauce either. If anything, depending on your taste, some of their food could be considered a bit under-seasoned.
But Oggi excels where it counts, and that’s in its pasta. Fresh, light and homemade, it literally melts in your mouth. And just because the food is less hearty doesn’t mean that you will walk away unsatisfied or feeling like you haven’t gotten your money’s worth. Overall Oggi’s is worth a visit.
