Book Picks from Your Local Library for Nov. 19

Staff members at the Brecksville branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library have some suggestions for local readers.

Looking for a new book to read on these fall afternoons? Whether it’s raining, snowing or the sun is shining, these suggestions from the staff members at the might be just what you’re looking for.

This week’s children’s book recommendation was written by public services assistant II, Karen Schmidt, of the children’s department. And the adult recommendations were written by public services assistant Rachel Vaughn.

For adults:

Heresy by S.J. Parris
In this historical fiction thriller, Parris brings to life Giordano Brunoβ€”16th century monk, poet, scientist, and believer in the Copernican theory. Disagreeing with the idea that Earth is the center of the universe is grounds for charges of heresy, not to mention Bruno also studies magic. The Map of MeΒ by Tami Lewis Brown
