Brecksville-Broadview Heights Student Earns a Perfect ACT Score

recently posted to its website that junior Cindy Zhao has earned a perfect score of 36 on her ACT.

And that’s a unique distinction. Nancy Owen of the ACT said that on average, less than 1/10 of 1 percent of test-takers earn a 36. The ACT tracks progress based on graduating classes and, last year, more than 1.6 million students in the graduating class of 2011 took the test.

The high school’s post notes that Zhao’s composite score earns her a place in “The 800 Club,” which is reserved for students who score an 800 on any section of the SAT or a 36 on the ACT – perfect scores.
