Brecksville Kiwanis Presents Donation to Brecksville Fire Department

Wednesday afternoon, the Kiwanis Club of Brecksville presented a $1,000 check to the to purchase pediatric trauma supplies. 

The check was a grant from the Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation, said President Kevin Brusk. Firefighter Bruce Gordon said the department will use the grant to buy transportation supplies like one that helps secure a child on the department’s cot. 

Brusk said the department will also receive funds in the future from the department’s first Walk the Magic Mile, a one-mile fundraiser that took place at the during Memorial Day weekend.
