Brecksville Police Blotter: A Broken Window and Buying Liquor for Minors Stopped

The following incidents were reported by the from March 8 to 9. The information was compiled from police reports.

Liquor bought for minors doesn’t make it out of the parking lot
A 22-year-old Broadview Heights woman was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and with furnishing alcohol to a minor after a resident called police at 2:28 p.m. on March 9. The caller had seen a young man give the woman money in a parking lot in the 7500 block of Chippewa Road. The woman then returned to his car with beer and liquor. An 18-year-old Brecksville man and a male minor from Broadview Heights were charged with underage possession of alcohol.

Missing plate leads to discovery of marijuana
Police pulled over a car that was missing a front license plate on Interstate 77 at 11:06 a.m. on March 9. When the officer stepped up to the driver’s window, the smell of marijuana was strong. The 21-year-old Euclid man immediately handed over a pipe and a plastic bag with marijuana, saying it was his, not the passenger’s. Police also found a grinder with marijuana inside. The man was cited for his missing plate and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Resident reports a broken window in the middle of the night
A resident in the 7000 block of Carriage Hill Drive called police at 2:54 a.m. on March 8 to report that someone had thrown a rock through her bedroom window. The resident had been sleeping at the time and did not hear anyone outside.
