Brecksville Police Blotter: Lots of Property Damage

Police reports from April 11 to 13.

Driving under the influence:

On April 13, a Canton woman was charged with driving under the influence. Beverly A. Mears, 64, was pulled over shortly after 11 p.m. on Interstate 77 after an officer saw her vehicle weaving across lanes and slowing far below the speed limit. Mears failed several field tests.

On April 12, an individual from the Brecksville United Church of Christ reported a broken window on the building. It is unknown how or when the window was damaged, but it was noted that the entire window would need to be replaced. Special attention to the property was requested.

An employee of a local gardening business backed into a Service Department vehicle on April 11. There were no injuries reported, but the Service Department’s vehicle got a dent in the left rear fender and a cracked taillight.

Damaged property 3:

An employee of Chippewa Elementary School found a broken window on one of the school’s doors on April 11. A lacrosse ball was found nearby.
