Brecksville resident Ari Prinzbach receives summer research fellowship grant

Ari Prinzbach of Brecksville, Ohio, has been selected to receive a summer research fellowship from the University of Richmond, where she will be a senior next fall.

Prinzbach is one of 300 students to be awarded a UR Summer Fellowship. Through the program, students receive up to $4,000 to take on a challenging unpaid internship or conduct research with a faculty member. She is conducting research in the biology department at the University of Richmond, with professor Linda Boland as her mentor. Prinzbach is conducting several experiments in the lab this summer.

The university is putting more than $1 million into UR Summer Fellowships each year in order to position students for success in future employment and graduate school.

A double major in biochemistry and molecular biology and Latin American and Iberian Studies,  Prinzbach is a 2010 graduate of Brecksville Broadview Heights High School. She is the daughter of Greg and Audrey Prinzbach of Brecksville.
