Brecksville Stats Available on Detailed New York Times Census Map

The New York Times recently published an interactive map with Google that breaks down U.S. Census figures for Brecksville by block.

When the latest U.S. Census figures were released, we learned four key things about Brecksville:

1. Brecksville’s total population was 13,656. The city is not a very diverse one. About 93 percent of the population was white. About 3 percent of the population was Asian and nearly 2 percent was black. 
2. Overall, the median age of a Brecksville resident was 47.4, and about 77 percent of the population was 18 or older.
   
3. For people identifying as Hispanic or Latino, the average age was 33. Only 62 percent of Hispanic residents were 18 or older.
   
4. Brecksville residents tend to have small families. The average family size for the total population was 3.
