Business Notes: Brecksville Man Named Chief Marketing Officer at the University of Akron

Brecksville resident Wayne Hill has been named an associate vice president and the chief marketing director at the University of Akron.

According to a press release from the university, Hill and were selected from dozens of candidates to become the new associate vice presidents for the school’s marketing and communications team.

Hill has more than 40 years of communications experience. He was with public relations firm Edward Howard for 20 years until its sale in 2010 and serves on a number of committees and boards in the Cleveland area.

Hill and Korey begin at the university on Monday.
