Cheer World Omega Received Third WORLDS Bid!
Cheer World All Stars level 5 team, Omega, received it's third consecutive bid to the USASF Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando, FL.
Cheer World All Stars co-ed level five competitive cheerleading team, Omega, received a partial paid bid to the U.S. All Star Federation Cheerleading WORLDS in Orlando, FL this weekend at Champion Cheer Central Hard Rockin’ Nationals in Cleveland.
“This is Omega’s third consecutive WORLDS bid win,” stated AJ Ganim, Cheer World co-owner and Omega coach. “This is our first time receiving money towards the bid, which makes the win even more special.”
Champion Cheer Central had one partial paid bid and one at large to allocate at the Cleveland’s Hard Rockin’ Nationals. Cheer World Omega won with a combined score of 528, approximately 50 points higher than it’s next closest competitor. Omega was also recognized as the level five Champions, as well as Grand Champions, meaning they scored higher than all teams in both levels five and six in all divisions including all-girl, international open, and co-ed teams.

success.”

In 2013, when Cheer World decided to move into a WORLDS eligible division, they assembled their first ever co-ed level five team. Level five in competitive cheerleading is the highest level of competition for athletes 18 years and younger. Cheer World decided to compete as a co-ed small team with 19 members, one of the largest divisions for competition.
“We entered WORLDS bid events in 2013 with the intention of gaining the experience to come out in 2014 to win a bid,” explained Ganim. “It was an incredible experience when we won an At Large bid our first year in Chicago!”
From there, Cheer World Omega could not be stopped. They competed at WORLDS in 2013 and knew they had to continue to improve for the next season. In 2014, Omega was granted another At Large bid in Atlanta and advanced to the semi-finals at WORLDS event in Orlando.
“It was amazing when we placed high enough at WORLDS pre-lims to make it to the semi-finals in only our second WORLDS season,” stated Fogarty.
This season, the Program and Team set their minds to winning a bid earlier in the season. Cheer World Omega works hard all year long in order to maintain the stamina needed to compete at full speed for 2:30. Tumbling, stunting, dancing, not to mention choreographing 19 athletes to move across the floor in various directions, at times with only centimeters of space in between one another. When Cheer World Omega took the floor at Cleveland Public Hall on January 31st and February 1st, they were the team to watch. The hard work had been put in, the determination lived within, and the excitement of competing in their own community made receiving the title of Grand Champions with a partial paid bid, the most rewarding win to date.
“We are extremely proud of this team, as well as all of the CW teams that competed this weekend,” said Ganim. “Omega has four more competition until WORLDS. Their work isn’t done, but their path looks promising.”
