Council discussed a number of issues in the city.

City Council for the Fire Department during Tuesday’s meeting, but that’s not all they addressed. Here are a few of the other issues the council discussed or voted on:
- Council President Larry J. Potla offered his “heartfelt sympathy” from the council and the city administrators to the Kancler family, whose son died over the weekend. “This was one of the country’s heroes,” Potla said, noting ’s multiple tours overseas.
- Council approved a resolution allowing the Ohio Department of Transportation to repair the bridge on state Route 82 over the Cuyahoga River. The council . There will be no cost to the city.
- During the committee meeting, council members discussed a number of storm water-related issues in the city, including a long-standing problem with a culvert on Amber Lane. Director of Public Services Ron Weidig said the issue went back to the ’90s and Finance Director Virginia Price said the repair had been on the horizon of the budget for a while now.
