Community Center to Show Free Movie on Friday

This Friday, the will be transformed into a drive-in movie theater. 

The center will set up a screen near the outdoor pool, said Kelly McNeill, supervisor of administrative services and special events coordinator. Individuals will be able to just pull their cars into the parking lot and enjoy. The event is free, and there will be concession items like candy, water and popcorn available for a small charge. 

This Friday’s movie will be Despicable Me. A second movie night featuring Toy Story 3 is scheduled for Aug. 5. Movies begin at dusk.

“It’s just a great way to spend an evening with your family,” McNeill said. 

Both dates depend on the weather, and there are no rain dates scheduled. As of Wednesday afternoon, the National Weather Service is predicting clear skies for Friday evening.
