Construction Worker Killed in Avon Accident from Campbell

Man killed after two-car accident near construction zone.

The has confirmed the construction worker killed Sept. 12 was Peter Maglis, 63, of Campbell, Ohio.

The accident, involving two carsβ€”one of which struck Maglisβ€”occured shortly after 9 a.m. near the Lear Nagle Road bridge where the new I-90 interchange project is continuing. A Brecksville driver was .

Maglis was taken to where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

According to Fox 8 News,Β Maglis worked for Athos Painting in Seven Hills. The site reported that he was "a dedicated worker who loved his family."

The investigation is continuing. The drivers of the two vehicles were identified by Avon Police asΒ Nathan Reese, 34, of Avon andΒ Anthony J. Rose Jr. 50, of Breckville.
