Our Contemporary Service begins with lively songs of worship, led by our band and singers of all ages. We have a drummer, guitar players, bass and piano, but we’re always open to new sounds and ideas! This service welcomes a variety of gifts and talents, special music, men’s and women’s ensembles, and is even visited by organ and handbell choir from time to time.
On a typical Sunday, about 275 people attend worship at BUMC. Some of us have attended here for many years and some are brand new. We come from all walks of life, different political perspectives and many denominational and religious backgrounds. Despite our diversity, we are committed to the belief that we all belong together in community!
Don’t worry about what you’re wearing on a Sunday morning. Many of us dress up a bit, but you’ll see jeans and casual attire too. You don’t need a suit to worship with us!
We’re excited to get to know you, and we don’t want to scare you away. We won’t make you stand up in a room full of strangers and introduce yourself. We won’t single you out during worship. We will offer you a Welcome Bag, which includes information about the church, a mug and other goodies. (If you’d like one, ask an usher or greeter.) And if you’d like more information, a call, a visit, or to subscribe to our newsletter, fill out a Visitor Card (available in the pews) and we’ll follow up on your request.
Learn more about us on our website: www.brecksvilleumc.com or by calling the church office, 440-526-8938.
Hope to see you Sunday!
