Why Go: To relax on a three-hour, round-trip train ride through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Where/When: The Palace Theatre, 1501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland; 7:30 p.m. on Saturday

Why Go: His career has soared since his appearance on the 2003 season of  American Idol.

4. WOODLAND'S MELODIES CONCERT

Where/When: Brecksville Nature Center, 9305 Brecksville Rd., Cleveland; from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday

Why Go: Enjoy the music of Bud Preston as he blends acoustic guitar with the sounds of nature.

Pricing: $45 for the show and buffet package.

5. BACK TO THE BALLROOM -- BIG BAND DANCE

Where/When: Stage Door at EJ Thomas Hall, The University of Akron, 198 Hill St., Akron; 3 p.m. on Sunday

Why Go: Dance or just listen to the music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington and more. Jack Schantz and the University of Akron Jazz Ensemble performs.
